Software is sold by the seat because software is a tool. Somebody still has to pick it up. That model quietly moves the risk onto the buyer: you pay whether or not the work gets done. We took the other side of that.

Selling outcomes means we charge for finished work, not for access. A resolved conversation, a processed invoice, an adjudicated claim. You are billed for the unit of work you actually needed done, and for nothing else. There are no seats to fill, no licences to true up at renewal, and no gap between what you bought and what got used. If the work does not happen, we are not paid for it.

That single choice lines our incentives up with yours. When a vendor sells seats, its next dollar comes from selling more seats, whether or not the last ones earned their keep. When we sell outcomes, our next dollar comes from getting more work correctly finished. We grow when your queue shrinks. We are rewarded for the same thing you are: the work being done well, the first time, without you having to chase it.

It is a harder business to run, and we chose it on purpose. Per-seat pricing lets a vendor stop caring at the point of sale. Per-outcome pricing does the opposite. It puts the cost of every mistake, every retry and every slow day on us rather than on you. We carry the risk the buyer used to carry alone. That is less comfortable for us, and that is the point. It is better for you because you stop paying for potential and start paying for results.

Taking that side forces us to be good at a specific set of things. We have to be accurate, because a wrong answer is ours to fix, not yours. We have to be reliable, because an outcome we cannot deliver consistently is an outcome we cannot honestly price. We have to know exactly when to hand a hard case to a person, because pretending to be certain is expensive when you are the one accountable for the result. And we have to measure the work honestly, because you can see every outcome you are billed for.

None of this works if the underlying quality is shaky. Selling outcomes is a promise you can only make if you are willing to be judged on whether you kept it. That is the promise we wanted to make.
